Incorporated in February of 2006, MTMA architects continues to carry
on the dedication to quality architecture which has brought it’s
founder, Michael McKee, and the core of founding members together. With a
portfolio of experience on a wide range of successful projects, the
foundation of MTMA is solidly based on the experience gained working
internationally on an impressive range of complex projects. After a
twenty year career at Moshe Safdie and Associates, a world renowned
design firm where Mr. McKee was a Principal, Mr. McKee established MTMA
architects, backed by a select group of architects who share many
successful years working in collaboration. The firm is young, but its
members have a proven ability to complete world-class projects on time
and on budget.
MTMA architects is based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Mr. McKee’s
home for the past 30 years. From this base, MTMA architects have
demonstrated the ability to work both locally and internationally,
combining the experience of managing complex projects with the latest
advances in communications technology to carefully manage all aspects of
the design process, providing immediate response to client’s needs.
Mr McKee and MTMA has established an on-going working relationship
with Kyu Sung Woo Architects - collaborating and sharing resources -
and the staff at MTMA architects currently stands at five committed
members, including Mr. McKee. While still relatively small, MTMA is
establishing a reputation for producing creative, high quality work on
large and mid-sized projects in complex urban settings, with impact
projects currently ongoing in Peabody, Fitchburg and Somerville,
Massachusetts.
